The Mechanism of Prozac

This is my second and final animation for the College of Pharmacy. While my first animation project, the mechanism of cisplatin, was guided by my own rationale (combined with that of my mentor, Dr. Cho), I wanted this project to be more scientific. I knew that in order to make a more effective animation, I would have to learn my audience. To do this I surveyed over 100 pharmacy students and adjusted a draft of this animation based on their feedback.

My long and productive partnership with URI’s College of Pharmacy began with this animation. Finished in 2007, it reflects the times. It took a year to make and was the University’s first HD animation — I actually rendered it in 16:9 720P before YouTube had the capability. You can watch the final version below..
